75th Birthday Celebration:
$158,675 Raised!
On Saturday, June 4th, our community of Difference Makers came together in a big way at our 75th Birthday Celebration: Benefit Dinner & Auction! We raised a grand total of $158,675 through bids and donations at the event! Attendees were wowed with a live performance from Aaron Kizer of Kizer Arts, and had the chance to bid on his live painting and a commissioned studio painting by Kizer during the live auction. Our residents and Recreation Team did a fantastic job during the live auction portion of the night displaying items to the crowd with fun props and costumes. Thanks to our amazing item donors, we also had more silent auction packages than ever before with close to 200 packages for our guests to bid on. Over 500 individual items were donated to the silent auction this year!

Kara Howard, Vice President of Development and Community Engagement, expressed her excitement at the success of the event. "Wendell Foster's 75th Birthday Celebration was a great success! We are proud to share that we had record attendance and a record number of auction items. Thanks to our dedicated sponsors and supporters, over $158,000 was raised in support of Wendell Foster," she said.

Thank you to our amazing supporters, friends, sponsors, volunteers, and all who attended for making this event a huge success! Because of you, we can achieve Yes! Moments for the next 75 years! We can't wait to continue celebrating 75 years of service for the rest of 2022, and we want you to celebrate with us. See our upcoming events at the end of this newsletter to find out how you can get involved!

Whitesville Lions Club Pie Auction Results
Wendell Foster was honored to receive $10,000 in proceeds from the Whitesville Lions Club Chili Supper & Pie Auction on April 29th! Wendell Foster CEO, Doug Hoyt, was presented a check by Lion President Floyd Russelburg on June 6th. The event, which returned this year after a two-year hiatus due to COVID, benefited Wendell Foster and Puzzle Pieces. The grand total raised from the night's festivities was $20,000!

Thank you to the Whitesville Lions Club and the many community members in attendance for an amazing night of generosity! We are so glad this event is back in our community, and we are humbled by the support we continue to receive. We can't wait until next year's event!
