Join Michiganders for a Just Farming System for our next Zoom meeting on Monday, June 9, at 6pm. Transfarmation is a project by Mercy For Animals that helps factory farmers transition to growing plants (and fungi!). Team member Jackie Lutze will be joined by Mercy For Animals' senior federal policy manager, Frances Chrzan to explore the transformative work of The Transfarmation Project and its impact on farmers. Together, they’ll discuss how the initiative is building a movement by offering viable alternatives to factory farming. They’ll also delve into key policy efforts and how Transfarmation is working to scale these changes toward a more just and sustainable future. Register here to attend.

| | | A big thank you to everyone who called, emailed, and even attended meetings in Lansing. The DNR Director announced that the agency would pause the goose gassing program this year and concentrate on non-lethal methods. Gassing Canada Geese is especially inhumane because of their ability to hold their breath for an extended period of time, and thanks to our efforts, they will not be subject to this extended suffering. Take a minute to email the DNR to thank them for their decision. | | Plant-Based News Headlines | | | | |
