June 2024 Newsletter

Springvale Public Library

 Announcements:

The Library will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th in

observation of Juneteenth.

There will be an Statewide interruption in interlibrary loan services beginning in mid-June. At this time we do not know how long the disruption of services will be and we will update you as we find out details. Reciprocal borrowing is still an option if there is something you need at a nearby library. Ask at the desk for how this works. We are sorry for the any inconvenience this may cause.

From the Staff:

Welcome back summer patrons! We hope that you had a cozy winter.

Did you know our Library of Things has not only lawn games but birding and wildlife backpacks for you to check out?

Our museum passes have been getting popular. We offer passes to the Maine Botanical Garden and the Maine Children’s Museum. Ask at the main desk for details and to reserve your pass.

Teens going into high school who would like to get a start on community service hours can talk to Miss Sheila. There are lots of ways to get those hours this summer.

Thanks to a grant from the Nasson Alumni Association, we are collaborating with Goodall Library to bring, Monica Wood author of How to Read a Book, to the Nasson Little Theatre. Registration is required. Please sign up on our website or give us a call to save a spot.
