On average, Glendora normally receives a total rainfall of 22 inches per year. In the last 6 of the 9 years, Glendora has received below average rainfall necessary to refill the groundwater basin back to normal levels. If you picture the groundwater basin as a bank account, the account would be in the red by -46.65 inches in the last 9 years alone!
If we continue having a few more years of above average rainfall as we did in 2019, our groundwater basin will be in much better shape to help us deal with another potential drought. WEWAC and its member agencies continue encouraging residents to be aware of their water usage and maintain the more efficient watering practices. Conservation does not stop with ONE good rainy season!
