Let's Give a Warm Welcome to Our Seasonal Staff

Wildlands Conservancy's seasonal positions are budding lasting connections to nature that will carry the next generation of environmental stewards through their careers in conservation.

Right here in the Lehigh Valley, we are hosting Stewardship Crew, Environmental Educators, and a robust internship program. Stay tuned this summer as we highlight their stories!

Meet Grant Andreus

Communications Intern

Grant Andreus joined the Wildlands communications team in May 2025 as a communications intern. He is working towards a B.S. in Social Media Theory and Strategy at Kutztown University and assists the Development and Communications team with his content creation and writing skills. As a Lehigh Valley Native, Grant has a deep connection with Wildlands' conservation and preservation work. Having grown up attending Wildlands events with his father, it’s full circle for Grant to be back making his own contribution. He hopes to continue his career in conservation post-graduation, using his media degree to educate and spread environmental awareness.

Grant loves to explore the Lehigh Valley and frequently makes trips to rock climb at local spots, like Wildlands’ own South Mountain Preserve.

29th Annual Lehigh River Sojourn RECAP

At the beginning of June, Wildlands Conservancy and partners hosted another successful year of paddling into summer fun!

Wildlands Conservancy President Chris Kocher told WFMZ's Bo Koltnow:

"Getting people out to experience first-hand the wonders of nature in their backyards is really important to develop that sense of stewardship for our natural resources."

Volunteers led groups safely down the Lehigh River

Wildlands staff sincerely extends a THANK YOU to the Lehigh River Safety Crew who guided 150+ individuals through a successful 4-day Sojourn, despite high water levels.

We appreciate all who joined us to whitewater raft, canoe, and kayak. Whether this year was your first, or you've never missed a Sojourn, YOU are what makes this event so special.
