The Department of Justice (DOJ) PSN is a nationwide initiative that brings together federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement officials, prosecutors, and community leaders to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in a community and develop comprehensive solutions to address them. PSN TTA assists taskforces with planning, implementing, and assessing their violence reduction PSN strategies.

Victims Services Focus Groups
|
In April, National Center for Victims of Crime and CNA conducted three focus groups to learn more about practitioner perspectives on victim issues, services, and training and technical assistance needs. The first two focus groups focused on the law enforcement perspective, with separate focus groups for line officers and detectives. The third focus group gathered information from prosecutors.
The most consistent theme in the law enforcement focus groups was the need for more TTA for sworn staff at all levels on trauma-informed approaches to strengthen communication, increase support for crime victims, and improve case outcomes. Read key takeaways from the law enforcement focus groups and a full summary report
here
. We will highlight findings from the prosecutor's focus group in the July email blast.
