Honoring Mothers of Children with Epilepsy
We recently had the honor of gathering with mothers of children living with epilepsy for an evening built around connection, understanding, and community.
Our annual Mother's Appreciation Dinner brought together women who truly get it. The sleepless nights, the constant vigilance, the fierce advocacy, and the immeasurable love that drives it all.
Some conversations were lighthearted. Some were emotional. Many continued long after dinner ended.
What filled the room most was something rare: the feeling of being completely understood, without needing to explain a single thing.
Thank you to every mother who joined us at Park Avenue Club, and to Jazz Pharmaceuticals and Neurelis Pharmaceuticals for making the evening possible. Nights like this remind us that no one walks this journey alone, and we are so grateful to walk it alongside you.

Fifty years ago, this event began as a way to bring the community together in support of individuals living with epilepsy. Today, it continues as a powerful tradition rooted in connection, generosity, and shared purpose. Proceeds from this event support ESNJ’s programs and services, including seizure recognition and response training, Camp NOVA community education, and advocacy efforts across New Jersey.

The 6th Annual Seize the Wave!

37th Street Beach | Sea Isle City, NJ
This one-of-a-kind surf experience gives individuals ages 8–18 living with epilepsy the opportunity to ride the waves alongside trained surfers in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
The day includes one-on-one surf instruction, hands-on coaching before entering the water, food, fun, and time to connect with other families living with epilepsy.
Registration is free, and surf instruction is limited. Spots fill quickly!

Ocean County Support Coordination Services
Support Coordination through Caregivers of New Jersey is now available in Ocean County.
Individuals and families enrolled in the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) can now choose Caregivers of New Jersey as their Support Coordination agency. Services include person-centered planning, connection to providers, and ongoing support to help individuals live more independently and fully in their communities.

Our on-demand Seizure Recognition and Response Training prepares parents, caregivers, school personnel, workplaces, and community members to respond calmly and safely.
Epilepsy Services of New Jersey also offers live, instructor-led trainings for schools, businesses, healthcare providers, and community organizations, providing in-depth education and practical guidance specific to each setting.
