A Message from Executive Director Chris Bradley

June kicks off with the return of the Friends’ Library Fair, including the Mystic Garden Club’s plant sale and the Friend’s book and white elephant sales. (Sorry, no food or fudge this year.)

On June 24, One Book One Region 2021 kicks off with an introduction to Charles Yu’s Interior Chinatown by Connecticut College professor Ayako Takamori. This year’s OBOR pick will not disappoint. The 2020 National Book Award Fiction winner has been described by Emily St. John Mandel as, “wrenching, hilarious, sharp, surreal, and above all, original... an extraordinary book by an immensely talented writer”.

June is the month of long days, so please enjoy Mystic & Noank Library's park. We have just installed some picnic tables along with a new Storywalk right behind the parking lot. Bring your lunch and enjoy these lazy days of summer!

Thank you,
Chris Bradley
