We celebrated our 10th anniversary on May 20th at the New Paltz Repair Cafe with speeches, cake and a wonderful memory board where guests and fixers could leave notes about our founder, John Wackman. Next up on our agenda? Fundraising to keep our part-time RCHV coordinator, Suzie Fromer. Suzie helps support our 45 repair cafes, a number that just keeps growing; June's calendar below features two brand new cafes as well as two finally returning from Covid. Suzie was featured prominently on the TODAY show segment, serving as a voice for the Repair Cafe community. In addition to liaising with all the organizers, she also runs our website, manages our calendar, helps with PR, runs our social media and serves as one central point of contact for the public. She also helps out as a skilled jewelry repair coach at a different repair cafe across our region almost every weekend.
