The Rescue Tales - June

Welcome to another edition of Rescue Tales, where we share heartwarming stories, useful tips, and updates from Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue. We're thrilled to bring you the latest highlights from our furry friends and the amazing community that supports them

A Delicious Partnership for Animal Welfare

Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue is privileged to have the steadfast support of Ray, the owner of Sazio, a gourmet Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Delray Beach, FL. For years, Ray has been a dedicated ally in our mission to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need.

Ray's commitment to animal welfare extends far beyond the doors of his restaurant. Each year, Sazio hosts our highly anticipated Annual Brunch for the Animals, a beloved community event that raises vital funds for our rescue efforts. In 2024, we're thrilled to celebrate the 6th anniversary of this special occasion on September 8th.

But Ray's generosity doesn't stop there. Sazio goes above and beyond by providing gift cards for our silent auctions and making personal donations to support our cause. Ray and his family are also enthusiastic supporters and sponsors of our larger events, including the Golf Fore Paws fundraiser and the Wag Your Tail Off Charity Gala.

Ray's unwavering dedication to animal welfare and his willingness to give back to the community exemplify the spirit of compassion and generosity. We are profoundly grateful for Ray's continued partnership and the invaluable support he provides to Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue.

Pet Tip of the Month

As the temperatures rise, it's essential to ensure the safety and well-being of our beloved pets. Here are some tips to keep your furry companions cool and happy during the summer months:

- Hydration is Key: Always provide plenty of fresh, clean water for your pets, especially when spending time outdoors.

- Limit Outdoor Activities: Try to exercise your pets during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or late evening, to prevent overheating.

- Provide Shade: Make sure your pets have access to shady spots if they're spending time outside. Consider setting up a canopy or umbrella in your backyard.

- Never Leave Pets in Parked Cars: Even on mild days, temperatures inside a parked car can soar to dangerous levels within minutes. Never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle.

- Watch for Signs of Heatstroke: Symptoms of heatstroke in pets include excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and vomiting. If you suspect heatstroke, seek veterinary care immediately.

By following these simple tips, you can help keep your pets safe and comfortable all summer long.
