Breast Cancer: Reconstruction

Thursdays at 4 PM
Nikita Shah, M.D. from City of Hope, will speak on The Surgical Management of Breast Cancer: Breast Reconstruction. Participants will hear about the breast reconstruction procedure and have the opportunity to ask questions.

Individuals who have had mastectomies and would like to learn more about reconstructive surgery are encouraged to attend.

This event is free, but registration is required to attend.
Art Therapy Workshop

Self-Care Through Lymphatic Health

Join Solla to learn self-massage for lymphatic drainage by using light pressure and gentle movements.

This workshop is helpful for most people, but it will mainly benefit individuals experiencing lymphedema caused by cancer treatment. Lymphatic drainage helps improve the immune system and reduce stress.

Staying safe while going through cancer treatment may seem overwhelming, but you can take an active role in maintaining your health by understanding common health and safety risks.
Cheryl Young, Director of Quality, Risk and Patient Safety at Cancer Treatment Centers of America Phoenix, offers tips and guidance on infections, viruses, drug interactions, slips and falls and food-borne illness. “Becoming educated about safety is a proactive step you can take to empower yourself,” she says.

QI Gong & Meditation for Cancer Support

Ed Sullivan leads this class that combines exercises and powerful meditations to help restore and maintain health and wellness. This weekly practice helps reduce fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, and numbness or tingling in your hands and feet. This practice can be done from a standing or seated position.
