Following OUR Scholars
Where are they now?
One of the great honors I and the NFJG Foundation Board of Directors get to do is to present deserving NFJG TOUR Members with scholarship funds to help secure their education throughout their collegiate years. Over the years all of our recipients have been outstanding young men and women who have gone on to very successful careers and lives. A few week ago I received the below letter from Ben Dryden. Ben was and active member on the NFJG TOUR and our 2015 NFJGF Scholarship recipient receiving $8000. Over the years, I have received many great letters of thanks from our recipients, so this letter gave me the idea to pass on to our membership and share the successes of these future leaders. Ben's letter is below. Very PROUD!

Jack,
I hope all is well, and you're still hittin em straight! I just wanted to give you an update on my life and where I'm at right now.
First, I want to start off with saying thank you so much for awarding me the NFJG Scholarship four years ago. Wow, it's hard to believe that it's already been four years. This past spring semester was the last semester I was able to use it, and it has been a HUGE help throughout my years here at USF. I'm very grateful for everything NFJG has done for me, and I can't thank you enough for all the opportunities I was given.
I have still been keeping up with NFJG on social media. It looks like you all are creating amazing memories for these young golfers.
I am entering into my 5th (and final) year of college at USF, almost done with that Mechanical Engineering degree! My second year of college, I started the AFROTC program. This upcoming spring I will be graduating with an Engineering degree, and commissioning into the Air Force as a 2LT. About two months ago, I found out that I got selected as a pilot, so if all goes well with my flight physical this year, I will be headed to pilot training after graduation. I'm also getting married this summer, so Liz and I will be starting our lives together in almost less than a month!
I'm very ecstatic for the future and I just wanted to thank you again for everything you have done for me. Without NFJG, I don't think I would be where I am today. It is an awesome thing that you do for all these young golfers, and although we don't all end up on the PGA Tour, you help set us up for successful futures.
Best,
Ben

Very Respectfully,

C/ Dryden

IT'S GETTING HOT OUT THERE!
The Three "P"
P REPARE P RIOR TO P LAY
It’s that time of year again and if you’re like me your happy the cold weather is gone for a while and the heat is here, but with the joy of summer weather upon us we have to be reminded of steps necessary to protect ourselves against the power and intensity of the sun. The intensity of the sun and the heat can do many things to you while you are out there playing a round of golf. Most importantly it can cause heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
IT'S SUMMER TIME!
and time to join the tour
