Conservation succeeds because people come together to protect the places they care about most.

This month, we celebrate the protection of Tanner Farm in Warren (photo), announce a preservation grant that will help restore the historic barns at Smyrski Farm, and welcome a new team of Summer Trail Stewards who will help care for our public nature preserves throughout the season. We also hosted Wilderness First Aid training for staff and conservation partners, strengthening our collective ability to safely steward conserved lands and outdoor programs.

Looking ahead, NCLC is preparing for our 20th Annual Midsummer Party for Conservation on July 25. With your partnership, important landscapes across our region are being protected for future generations. We are making steady progress on several ambitious conservation projects, including four new public preserves that will expand opportunities for people to experience and enjoy the natural world.
