It's the perfect set-up for booming landscape lighting sales. It's darker earlier AND evenings are warmer than normal. Customers enjoy an extended season and see the benefit of good outdoor lighting.
Now is a great time to be selling landscape lighting!
Let customers know you do lighting. You'll get leads just by including stuffers with your invoices and by leaving flyers when you do fall fertilization and irrigation winterization visits. A well-done 5-cent flyer could lead to a 10K sale.
Offer lighting with every project quote. Every customer wants lighting. Why are you not offering it to all of them? Being persistent pays off: if only 2 out of 10 customers say yes, you've grown your sales up to 20%. When installing plantings, irrigation or performing lawn renovation, always propose lighting.
Make it easy to get started. Offer a basic installation package that includes some "must haves" to start a lighting project conversation. Additional options can be added to the starter package as your availability and the client's budget allows.
Seal large deals with a demo. With the right prospect and the right property, nothing closes the
sale faster than a live demonstration. Ask us to borrow a demo kit and for tips on how to set up
an effective demo installation.
