June 2026

Child Care Resource & Referral is pleased to partner with 1Core SuperSub, an app that connects group centers and family child care providers with qualified, fully trained substitutes for both planned and unplanned absences.

How the Platform Works

  • Providers post open shifts through the 1Core SuperSub app
  • All substitutes in the pool receive an instant text notification
  • Available substitutes respond through 1Core SuperSub
  • Providers select their preferred candidate
  • Substitutes arrive fully compliant w/all state training/background check requirements, vetted by CCR&R.
  • Daily rates: $150 for 8 hours or $75 for 4 hours. Programs compensate substitutes directly through the 1Core SuperSub app

Complete the 1Core SuperSub program application HERE to enroll your child care program.

CCR&R is currently in the process of recruiting substitutes. 1Core SuperSub will notify you when substitutes are available in your area! Substitutes are self employed contractors, NOT CCR&R employees.

PLEASE NOTE: CCR&R will continue providing grant funded substitutes in Outagamie and Winnebago Counties through 2026. Providers in these counties are still welcome to sign up for 1Core SuperSub as a backup staffing resource, at your own cost.

ALL COUNTIES in our CCR&R service delivery area can use 1Core SuperSub!

Questions? Call 920 886 1211 or email candyh@ccrrfoxvalley.org.

Important Information about How to Find Updated Child Care Foundational Trainings

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is transitioning administration of the Child Care Foundational Trainings (CCFT) to UW Milwaukee's Professional Development Network (PDN) effective July 1, 2026. The Wisconsin Registry will no longer host the training calendar where providers can find various CCFT offerings across the state or the course's online modules.

You can create a PDS Online account now to view the new training calendar and register for updated CCFT offerings that will begin on July 1, 2026. Click here for a guide on how to create a PDS account and find available Child Care Foundational Trainings.

DCF is also updating the length of CCFTs. Introduction to the Child Care Profession, Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care, and Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher will be reduced from 50 hours to 45 hours, and the minimum 15-hour face-to-face requirement will be reduced to 10 hours. Fundamentals of Family Child Care will stay the same.

Due to these changes, CCR&R's next offering of Introduction to the Child Care Profession will begin Tuesday, July 14, 2026 and Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Profession will begin Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Stay tuned for registration details.

More information about course revisions and the administration transition can be found in upcoming DCF communication and on DCF's CCFT website: https://dcf.wisconsin.gov/ccregulation/foundational-training.
