Blue Door's INNclusion Program

5-Years of supporting vulnerable 2SLGBTQI+ Youth

INNclusion is Blue Door’s transitional supportive housing program for 2SLGBTQI+ youth aged 16 to 29 experiencing homelessness or housing instability in York Region. Through safe, affirming housing and individualized support, the program helps youth build independence and work toward their goals.

As INNclusion reaches its fifth year of providing safe, affirming housing and support, Blue Door reflects on the impact the program has made since opening in March 2021. Over the past five years, INNclusion has supported 14 youth, with 10 successfully transitioning to independent housing, and has provided 6,797 nights of safety and stability for youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness.



As youth homelessness continues to rise, programs like INNclusion are more important than ever. Safe, affirming housing gives young individuals the foundation they need to thrive. Together, let's continue to help ensure more youth have access to the support, opportunities, and sense of belonging they deserve.

As we celebrate Pride Month, Blue Door extends its gratitude to Kenvue Canada, The Regional Municipality of York, and The Home Depot Canada Foundation for their continued support of INNclusion and their commitment to creating more inclusive communities.

Blue Door’s 2 Months, Endless Impact campaign is now well underway, with June already halfway through! Throughout June and July, your monthly support makes a real difference for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in your community.

Your generosity provides access to safe housing, employment opportunities, and the ongoing supports individuals need to build long-term stability.

Thanks to generous matching sponsors, including Market Brewing Company and the John & Jocelyn Barford Foundation, all gifts up to $9,000 will be matched over these two months, doubling your impact in your community.

Buttcon's 21st Charity Golf Tournament

Join us for a day of golf, networking, and giving back

Blue Door is honoured to be selected as the charity partner for Buttcon's 21st charity golf tournament. This annual event brings together community members and partners for a fun day on the course while raising funds to support individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness in your community.

Where: Deer Creek Golf Club

Time: Shotgun Start at 8:30 a.m.
