PRESIDENT'S CORNER
Hello, Summer and fellow Alamo Ranchers,

I'm happy to report the board voted last week to move forward with replacing the fences on La Villita and also hired a company to clean up some green spaces that have become unruly.

Google Fiber is coming to Alamo Ranch and will be installing cables in our area by the end of the year. You will see trucks in gated and nongated communities setting up boxes.

When the weather gets warmer, we see more car break-ins. Please lock your doors and don't leave valuable things in your car. If you do have a break-in, call Bexar County Sheriff's office and make a report.

A friendly reminder that signs for middle school/high school promotions are only allowed during the summer months. Roof signs and other advertisements are not allowed.

Please scroll through the newsletter to see what activities the Social Committee has coming up. There will be a town hall in July or early August, so start thinking of questions you would like to ask the board or the management company.

The next board meeting is June 29th at 6 pm, and as always, I'm available by email for any questions or comments.

The Alamo Ranch Community Association is seeking a Committee Chair to lead and recruit members of the VNAC. The ideal goal is to have 2 members from each Grant Community on the committee.
The VNAC will interface with the Board of Directors to provide information and organize volunteer efforts on behalf of the Community Association. This committee will meet mainly, if not entirely, online in virtual discussions regarding the current state and future of the community & offer ideas and suggestions to the board of directors that will benefit the community as a whole.
From your Manager

  • The Monument Landscape update was approved by the Board at the May meeting. This project will start in June, so keep your eyes peeled for a new, refreshed look at your entrance soon!!

  • The Board also approved a greenbelt cleanup project. This will have a crew out clearing a 3-4' buffer from the fence line and removing brush and tree limbs that may be leaning on the fence. In most cases, the removed debris will be moved into the greenbelt, and in some cases, it will be removed from the area. There are roughly 6 miles of greenbelt area, I am estimating this project to take roughly 4-5 weeks, depending on the weather and the amount of debris needing to be removed in the different areas.

  • We will begin the fence replacement along La Villita Way. If you're home is affected, you will be receiving an email with an estimated date and what to expect. This is another project that will be dependent on the weather. If the time frame changes, I will keep you up to date. Please remember that this area will be a construction zone for a while, and there will be debris from time to time during the project along the fence line.

  • The board voted to appoint Priscilla Alarcon-Delgado to the board for the remainder of this term (ending in October 2023). There will 4 board positions open at this year's Annual meeting. Please keep an eye out for the Call to Serve that will be sent out at the end of July/beginning of September.
Pool monitors will be enforcing the check-in procedures on Saturdays & Sundays from 11am-9pm. And will continue each weekend until Labor Day. Please follow the check-in procedures below and remember to be kind to the monitor.

Please note that the "pool monitor" is only onsite to verify residency and amenity access. They are not here to handle unruly visitors. Please ensure you and your family and guests are following the pool rules and being respectful of others while visiting the amenities. Failure to do so can result in a loss of privileges for the pool season.

If there are issues with your account or access, you will need to contact the Association office during office hours, the monitor will not have any information about your account. If you have not set up your amenity access, you will need to take care of that during office hours.

**Reminder** If you are past due on your assessments, per the Pool Use Guidelines, everyone has signed and Sec 10.2 b of the DCCRs, your access will be suspended until your account is brought current. Until your payment is verified by the office, you will not have access, please contact the office to inform us you've brought your account current.
