Community Connection Spotlight:
Juneteenth Activity
On June 19 , Robert and Rocío from our Community Connection team were invited to help facilitate a virtual activity at Buckner Family Hope Center at Wynnewood Village in honor of Juneteenth !

To give context to the activity, Linda Boles, the community center's program director, led a lesson to teach children about the history and significance of Juneteenth .

Then, Robert and Rocío facilitated an activity to help the kids express their understanding of Juneteenth by creating a poster board that visually answered the question: "What does Juneteenth mean to us?"
