2021 Pot of Gold Luncheon:
A Huge Success!
We are so excited to announce the outcome and impact of our 2021 Pot of Gold Luncheon!

Thank you to all who joined us in person and virtually on June 25 for our annual luncheon featuring an inspiring keynote address from author Josh Shipp.

In total, the generosity of our Pot of Gold sponsors, donors and auction bidders generated $230,585 in funds that will directly help kids rise through Rainbow Days' specialized services that support children and youth in adversity.
We are also excited to share Rainbow Days' 2021 impact video, which debuted last week at the Pot of Gold Luncheon. Watch the video now to experience Rainbow Days in action and meet some of the children we serve across the community.
Family Connection Spotlight:
Summer Camp Needs
This summer, Rainbow Days' Family Connection team is excited to host three weeks of uniquely themed summer day camps for hundreds of homeless children living at shelters, transitional living sites and motels in the Dallas area. At each of these camps held in accordance with current safety guidelines, children will enjoy exciting learning experiences and receive positive support from adult mentors through classes focused on STEM education, performing and visual arts, and outdoor recreation.

We need your help to make these summer camp experiences unforgettable for homeless children in our community who otherwise would not be able to attend a traditional summer camp. Currently, we are seeking a variety of in-kind donations, including:

  • Individually wrapped snacks
  • Small toys and prizes
  • One-piece swimsuits for girls and swim trunks for boys (all sizes)
  • Flip-flops (all sizes)
  • Sunscreen
  • Backpacks

Please contact Katy Cornwall with questions about donating. Alternatively, if you would like to contribute financially to support the summer camps, make an online gift now and designate your gift for the Family Connection summer camps.

Between now and August, our training division is hosting a series of unique workshops covering a variety of professional development topics — including mental health, resilience, human trafficking, behavior management, collaboration and others — from a great lineup of engaging speakers.
Additionally, Rainbow Days Training has one upcoming Curriculum-Based Support Group (CBSG®) Program Facilitator Trainings, which will be hosted virtually via Zoom. Visit Rainbow Days Training's website to learn more and register for this Aug. 31 trainings.
Community Connection Spotlight:
"The Real Podcast of Dallas"
On June 17, Maria and Leo from the Community Connection team celebrated the end of the school year with the eighth graders at W.E. Greiner Middle School. They passed out stress balls and goody bags filled with candy and promotional material for The Real Podcast of Dallas.

The students at W.E. Greiner regularly listen to the Community Connection's podcast through their Leadership Cadet Corps (LCC) class and were eager to meet and get autographs from the podcast mentors who have virtually visited and encouraged them on a weekly basis this entire school year.
