Everyday Excellence
Research Forum
Elevating Family Medicine Research
On June 6 th the ACFP hosted a research forum, Elevating Family Medicine Research – “Starting the conversation.” The forum provided the opportunity for members of our family medicine and primary care research communities to come together to share their expertise and experiences, and to discuss the unique barriers family medicine researchers have.

We all share a common vision — to see projects in our research community well-grounded in family medicine practice. By working together, we can better advocate for this essential work, ensure the outstanding contributions made by our family medicine researchers is valued, and that adequate supports for sustaining these efforts.

Fond Farewell
Happy Retirement Wendy!
The ACFP sends a fond farewell to a valued team member. Wendy Steele retires at the end of the week after 12 years of service with the ACFP.

Wendy has held an integral role in the annual planning of our Family Medicine Summit conference and communications support at the ACFP. The ACFP will not be the same without her. Her warm smile and wicked sense of humour will be missed. We wish her the best!
Mainpro+ Minute
Last month we asked - You attended an industry-sponsored event (conference, dinner, luncheon) that was NOT certified by the CFPC. Can you claim non-certified credits for your attendance at this event?

The correct answer is – NO. Industry-sponsored dinners/meetings that have not been formally reviewed by the CFPC, and do not bear the CFPC Certification statement are not eligible for any type of Mainpro+ credits.

All participants in our poll were entered to receive a $25 gourmet coffee card, and five lucky winners were randomly drawn.
Congratulations to our May Winners!!
