Congratulations to the Class of 2023!

Following APAH tradition, we hosted a graduation celebration for seniors across our portfolio at Columbia Hills. Staff even provided transportation so that a student from our Snowden’s Ridge property in Montgomery County, MD could join the festivities.

Friends and families gathered to celebrate each student's accomplishments and plans for post-secondary school while each graduate received a gift to support their next chapter. Congratulations to all seniors!

APAH also awarded a scholarship to our resident essay contest winner. Participants described how their personal experiences have shaped their educational and career aspirations, and how they will use these experiences to impact their community and the world.

We are proud to support the 1,600+ youth under age 18 who call our properties home.

Fun in the Sun with APAH

School is out for the summer, but APAH students and families are enjoying educational enrichment and summertime fun! APAH is making sure this will be a summer to remember. So far, we have:

Hosted APAH's second annual summer camp for grade-school residents, which consisted of field trips to Kings Dominion and a water park, career day, Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion activities, and more.

Celebrated residents who participated in the Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia 5K! APAH teams trained together, showed teamwork, and crossed the finish line.

Organized portfolio-wide events including a trip to the National Zoo and a movie night where residents chose to watch either Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse or The Little Mermaid.

Held Father’s Day events across the portfolio.

This year at Celebrate Home!, we are pleased to honor Heather Raspberry, Executive Director of the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers (HAND).
