The Akwesasne Farmers Market will open for the season on June 7 at 10am and will be open each Saturday through October 11. It is located in the Generations Park Pavilion at 30 Margaret Terrance Highway.

The Hammond Farmers and Artisans Market will open on June 11 at 3pm. They are then open each Wednesday from 3-6pm through September 10. The Hammond Farmers and Artisans Market is located at 14 North Main in Hammond.

Double Up Food Bucks at Farmers Markets

The backbone of GardenShare's mission is food security and access. One of the ways we work to combat food insecurity is by facilitating the Double Up Food Bucks program at many of the farmers markets in St. Lawrence County. And there has been a very exciting and needed update to the Double Up Food Bucks Program:

Starting June 1, Double Up Food Bucks can now match up to $50 a day for SNAP users at farmers markets!

If you or anyone you know received SNAP benefits, please be sure to stop at the Market Managers tables to learn more about how SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks tokens can be used.

Please Note: According to the St Lawrence County Office for the Aging, farmers market coupons will not be available until after July 1st. Farmers Market coupons for WIC participants may be available in mid-June but their distribution is beyond our control. We will share distribution information as soon as it's available. Thank you for your understanding.

2025-2026 Local Food Guide Available Now!

The newest edition of the St. Lawrence County Local Food Guide is now available! Copies have been mailed to our supporters and you can also find them at some locally owned retailers as well as roadside stands.

Loaded with information about who has what when - the Local Food Guide is your year-round source for local food listings. From the product index to the individual farm listings, we worked to make the Local Food Guide an easy to use resource for all your shopping needs.

Local Food Music Series

The Summer Market Kickoff is going to sound amazing this year!

We are happy to announce that Michael Corse and Benjamin Mambou will be performing at the Gouverneur, Canton, and Potsdam Farmers Markets from June 19-21. Be sure to stop by, shop, visit with neighbors, and listen to some great music!

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by

the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
