BREWSTER DAY CAMP | June 1, 2021 | Vol. 40 Issue 8
Dear BDC Family & Friends,

Happy June!

Holy moly time is moving fast and this summer is HEATING UP! From sunshine and blue skies to the lifting of many COVID regulations across Massachusetts, it is starting to feel like the summer that we all know and love.

June is a month full of excitement in the BDC Office. We are working tirelessly to fill spaces, develop curricula, transplant our physical office, and beautify the campus at 3570 Main Street. As the pace of work in our office HEATS UP, so does our outlook on how much fun we are able to have this summer!

With COVID restrictions rolling back across the state, we are incredibly excited to be able to offer even an even more robust and exciting camp experience for your whole family. We are also acutely aware of safety this summer, regardless of the loosening of regulations. We have worked extensively with federal, state, and local resources to develop health and safety measures that will keep your family having fun all summer long!

If you have any questions about how we plan to keep your family safe as this summer HEATS UP, please reach out to our Office Team!

Sending you an abundance of Courage, Hope, Good Spirit & Peace!

Mask Wearing
All campers and staff will be required to wear facial coverings while entering campus, until they are in their cohorts, as well as indoors, off-campus, as needed, and while riding transportation.

Social Distancing
Campers and staff will socially distance themselves whenever possible. Program spaces are designed to facilitate 3’ of distance between cohorts. Indoor program spaces are designed to facilitate 3’ of distance between campers and staff. Use of communal space will be staggered, when possible, to allow for distancing and cleaning.

Hand Washing
Campers and staff will wash hands and/or sanitize whenever necessary, including upon arrival at camp, before and after meals, after bathroom use, after coughing/sneezing, and after contact with any bodily fluids or high-touch surfaces that may be contaminated. Signage will be posted throughout camp emphasizing the importance of distancing, mask-wearing, and hand washing.

Cleaning, Disinfecting & Sanitizing
All cleaning will be performed wearing gloves. High-touch surfaces will be sanitized and disinfected as needed, regularly throughout the day and at the end of the day. Communal or shared spaces will be sanitized and disinfected regularly between groups' use of the space, equipment, materials, etc. Equipment will be cleaned in accordance with CDC regulations.

BDC is thrilled to welcome rising
10th & 11th graders into our new Camper Leader Program for summer 2021! These Camper Leaders will participate in training sessions targeting social and emotional development, communication skills, and a variety of other life skills, then practice these skills with their peers during our 6-day or 3-day sessions.

Every summer, BDC staff come from far and wide to create our incredible programs. Some of our staff are looking for housing on Cape Cod this summer! Please feel free to reach out to our Office Team if you have or know of any available space on the Cape!
