June means Sound of Music and the start of Summer. Yes, please! Check out things to do in Burlington this month and all season long.

New Visitor Guide, Sound of Music and more!

Sound of Music Festival Returns June 13-16

The Sound of Music, Canada’s largest free music festival, brings the downtown alive with music June 13-16. Presented by the Burlington Performing Arts Centre and supported by Tourism Burlington, the festival returns with a parade, streetfest, midway, and three full days of music on two main stages.

Take GO Transit to the Burlington station (note: major schedule changes this weekend on the Lakeshore West line; plan ahead) then Burlington Transit (a free ride after your GO trip) to downtown and avoid the traffic. Or park and use the free bus shuttle from Burlington Centre.

Better yet, make a weekend of it! Book a hotel today.

Canada Day Celebrations

Canada Day celebrations planned by the City of Burlington in Spencer Smith Park and throughout downtown on July 1 include a new all-day family zone with activities, food and entertainment. A fireworks and drone show cap off the festivities.

A free bus shuttle runs from Mainway Arena starting at 11am. Public transit and cycling are your best options as parking will be almost non-existent. Check GO Transit schedules.
