Obion County and the Chamber of Commerce are so special to me for a million reasons, but the incredible people we have the honor of knowing are my favorite. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms over the past year. It has truly been a huge blessing in my life. I look forward to the future and to being an advocate for Obion County!

Annual Legislative Breakfast
We had a great turnout at our Legislative Breakfast on May 25th at Discovery Park of Americas Simmons Bank Ag Center! Thank you to Senator John Stevens, Representative Tandy Darby, and Representative Rusty Grills for coming to speak with our community. For Mays Very Important Business Event, we heard from the Tennessee Bureau of Workers Compensation about the new R.E.W.A.R.D. program. The program is a way to reduce your worker's compensation premiums while helping your employees recover: physically and financially!

1st Annual Obion County Fair BBQ Cookoff and Food Truck Festival
The first-ever Obion County Fair BBQ Cookoff and Food Truck Festival was a huge success! The event was held May 14-15 at the Obion County Fairgrounds. Throughout the weekend, there was live music, food trucks, and the Kansas City BBQ Society Cookoff. Congratulations to Meat Me in St. Louis, Reserve Grand Champion, and Cole Hot BBQ, Grand Champion. The date for next years event has been set for May 13-15 of 2022.
American Advertising Federation Info Session at Discovery Park of America
On May 13th, Discovery Park of America hosted an information session on American Advertising Federation, the oldest national advertising trade association in the United States. AAF also has 15 district operations, each located in and representing a different region of the nation. Thank you to Scott Williams and Discovery Park for bringing together this group of advertising professionals in northwest Tennessee. The event was held in the Simmons Bank Ag Center.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee invites Tennesseans across the state to celebrate 225 years of statehood beginning June 1, 2021
This week Gov. Lee released a new video featuring a special message from Dolly Parton and her song “My Tennessee Mountain Home” to celebrate 225 years of statehood. Titled “Home,” the video highlights the culture, natural beauty and iconic landmarks in communities across the state. Check out the new video, “Home' below.
