What's new this
JUNE
from your Library
| | Important Changes Coming to the Marlboro Library! | | |
The Library is pleased to announce that its Renovation and Expansion Project has now entered its final stage of interior renovations! In order for construction to progress, the Library will transition operations to a new location within the building. Due to construction running smoothly, the Library has entered this phase a bit sooner than anticipated!
In order to accommodate construction work, the Library’s full collection has now been placed in storage and will not be accessible. Browsing is expected to resume in mid-July. In the meantime, Library staff are more than happy to assist patrons with placing holds on other library’s materials within the Mid-Hudson Library System to have sent to the Marlboro Free Library for pickup.
At this time, the Library’s current modified hours will not be affected until mid-June. However, patrons are encouraged to continue checking the Library’s website for updates, as construction activity may occasionally require additional temporary schedule changes or modified hours for a day or two prior to that time.
Services that will remain
available until mid-June
- Express computer use (two public computers will remain available)
- Printing, scanning, faxing, and copying services
- Passport and notary services by appointment only
- 1,000 Books Project bags
- New books
- Hold pickup and returns
- Very limited selection for browsing of popular materials.
The Library is anticipating a temporary closure in mid-June for a brief period to allow for furniture installation, bringing the collection back onsite, and final project work.
Additional details, including confirmed dates and updated service information, will be shared as soon as the construction schedule is finalized. We appreciate the community’s patience, flexibility, and continued support as we move closer to completing this exciting project! We’re almost there!
