Shop with a Dietitian
Join PeaceHealth registered dietitian Cecelia Jacobson for a free shopping tour at Market of Choice from 2 to 3 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month. The next session is June 17 and will focus on how to read nutrition labels. Space is limited. Each participant will receive a store discount coupon. Register here. Walk It off with the Y!
Here's some free family fun this summer. Every Wednesday, starting June 18, you can join the Eugene Family YMCA’s summer walking program, co-sponsored by PeaceHealth. Weekly walks happen from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The first one kicks off at Spencer Terrace at the Eugene Family YMCA's Don Stathos Campus, 600 E. 24th Ave., Eugene, Oregon. All remaining walks will be at Alton Baker Park, 100 Day Island Rd. in Eugene. Everyone is welcome.
Stroke Support Group
Life after a stroke isn't easy. Talking to others who have been through a stroke can help. The next meeting is Wednesday, June 18. For more information, please contact StrokeCenter@peacehealth.org, or call 541-222-8461.
HEARTsafe Eugene Springfield
Anyone who has experienced sudden cardiac arrest is invited to join the HEARTsafe Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor and Co-Survivor Support Group. It meets from 4 to 5 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month at PeaceHealth RiverBend hospital in room 200CD. The next meeting is June 24.
AARP Driver Safety
Trauma Services at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend is partnering with AARP to offer the AARP Smart Driver Course™ from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 28. The classes will be held at the RiverBend Annex. While there is a fee for this class ($20 for AARP members/$25 for non-members), participants may earn a discount on their auto insurance.

Shorter Hours for Lab Draws
Due to staffing, the outpatient draw site at the PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center Laboratory will close daily at 3 p.m. now through Thursday, July 3. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Monthly Grief Support Groups
For anyone experiencing grief, drop-in support is available. A group in Yachats gathers 2 to 3:30 p.m. the third Monday of the month in the Yachats Common Building-Room 3 in Yachats, Oregon. The next meeting is June 16. A Florence meeting will happen 2 to 3:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month, starting Tuesday, July 8 at Lane Community College in Florence, Oregon.
