WMV: Knitting Guild

Join the Mountain View Knitting Guild on the first Monday of each month. The group will continue to focus on preparing for the 2026 RSVP Christmas Tree theme! Participants will create various snowflake designs and explore different knitting techniques.

The Guild is also sponsoring "Knit in Public Day" on Saturday, June 13th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Settler Green's Gazebo in North Conway. Bring a knit project, a chair, and come for good conversation. All are welcome.

Celebrating America's 250th: Unpacking the Declaration of Independence

Join us for an exciting virtual celebration in partnership with the Tewksbury Public Library as we mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence! Learn about the text of the Declaration of Independence, who the key players were, the Enlightenment influence and if the values espoused in the Declaration are still relevant today.

Get an unbiased look at the Declaration and receive valuable content to understand the influences and ideals of the document.

Led by David Alcox, who has taught civics at Milford (NH) High School for 25 years. He has received several awards and honors, including being named New Hampshire State Teacher of the Year three times and National Civics Teacher of the Year twice.

Celebrating America's 250th: Intoxicating History of the American Revolution

Join us for an exciting virtual series with Tewksbury Public Library to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence! Eighteenth-century Americans consumed a staggering amount of alcohol compared to us today. Drink influenced their politics, built and sustained their relationships, and drove the economy. Booze was not a small part of colonial society, nor covertly consumed in private spaces—it was integral to American life. When the colonists rebelled against the British Empire, this culture of drink and taverns helped foster revolution.

Join historian and author Brooke Barbier, author for a lively talk about the influence of tavern and drinking culture on the American Revolution. You’ll hear about the way alcohol influenced colonial resistance, soldiers on both sides of the war, and the creation of a new nation. You'll see famous founders and lesser-known Patriots drink their way from British subjects into Americans..
