Our 3rd Save of Christmas

On our third Save of Christmas, we present Logan. His story began in a massive cat colony that JSCR was helping TNR. He was just a tiny kitten with horribly infected, bulging eyes. We knew Logan needed immediate help, so we took him into our care. Despite every attempt to treat the infections, Logan's eyes were tragically damaged beyond repair. He had to undergo the heart-wrenching procedure of having both of his eyes removed.

While we were devastated by his circumstances, Logan wasn’t one to wallow in pity. Instead, he showed us his true spirit—a determined fighter with a zest for life that would not be dampened. He was ready to live life to the fullest and it wasn’t long before Samm, one of the loving vet techs who helped care for him, knew she had to adopt this little fighter.

Logan before his eye removal

Today, Logan—affectionately nicknamed "Sir Logan the Popeye Monster" for his classic orange cat mischief—lives in a home filled with love and plenty of playful chaos. Despite having no eyes, Logan’s face remains incredibly expressive, and his mischievous personality keeps Samm on her toes. Whether he’s getting into places he shouldn’t or following Samm around like a shadow, Logan has filled Samm’s life with joy and laughter.

Logan may snore loudly and bite occasionally, but he more than makes up for it with the very best snuggles. His antics remind us life can always be lived to the fullest.

Logan now

As Logan’s journey continues, we’re reminded of the importance of the resources that make rescue work possible. Every day, we are faced with the task of caring for cats who need more than just a roof over their heads. They need comfort, food, and supplies to keep them healthy and happy.

If you’re wondering how you can help, one of the most needed items is cat litter. It’s essential for maintaining clean and healthy environments for our cats. Your donations, no matter how big or small, make a world of difference. We couldn’t do this work without you. Thank you for supporting our rescue and making the world a better place for cats like Logan!
