Our eighth Save of Christmas is extra special. Every cat has a story, but few are as deeply moving as the story of Delilah, an 11-year-old cat whose life was turned upside-down after the passing of her beloved owner.
Delilah came to JSCR weighing 19.6 lbs, a big cat with a big heart. She didn’t like other animals, which meant she needed a special foster home with no other pets. Thankfully, she found her perfect match — a devoted foster mom who gave her a second chance at happiness. In her new home, Delilah began to shed weight and the deep sadness she carried after losing her person.
She’s become a playful, purring, biscuit-making machine, delighting in chasing shadows on the wall and all her toys. She’s become so attached to her foster mom that when she leaves, Delilah grabs her slippers and drags them into the living room. It’s her sweet way of saying, "You should stay home with me."
