Our newest resident, Gigi, was abandoned when her owners were forced to move after their home was condemned. The place they moved to did not allow pets, and Gigi, confused and alone, stayed locked inside the empty, condemned house for two months, relying on occasional feedings, but not knowing why she’d been left hungry and afraid. That was until we heard about her plight and stepped in to help her.

Be Part of the Lifeline: Help Power our Biggest Fundraiser

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is just around the corner—and it truly wouldn’t happen without our community.

This auction helps us provide lifesaving care, comfort, and second chances to senior cats who need us most. And right now, we’re looking for a few dedicated volunteers to help bring it all together.

Whether you have a few hours here and there or want to take on a larger role, there’s a place for you:

Pre-Auction Item Manager

Help us keep auction items safe and organized from May through August. This typically involves storing 3–4 large totes in a smoke-free space away from cat hair.

Donation Pickup Team

Prefer something flexible? Help pick up donated items and drop them off at our collection site on your own schedule.

Post-Auction Item Manager

Love organization? Assist with tracking items after the auction—confirming payments and pickups using our auction platform.

Artist Liaison

Help us grow our auction offerings by reaching out to artists via email, phone, or in person to invite donations.

Every one of these roles plays a direct part in helping senior cats get the care they deserve. If you’ve been looking for a way to make a real impact, this is it.

Email us at events@jscr.org to get involved—we’d love to have you on the team.

Artists, Crafters, and Business Owners, We Need Your Help!

Your item donations powered our success with our last online auction, and we are counting on your talents to help our cats thrive! Are you an artist or a crafter? Donate some art, jewelry, or crafts to the auction! Do you own a business or provide services? Donate a gift card or certificate! All donors are credited, and we will link auction visitors to your website.

If you have items you would like to donate, please email us at info@jscr.org to arrange for drop-off or pick-up.

Every gift, in any amount, helps us improve the lives of the cats in our care. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
