Wishing all our Muslim readers a very happy Eid al-Fitr.

With the superb experience of the Venice Biennale still very much in our minds, the warmer months ahead continue to bring a wealth of exhibitions, fairs and events to enjoy around the globe. In addition to the superb line up at this year's Shubbak Festival, we are particularly looking forward to the Emirati artist Alyazia Bint Nahyan's exhibition, which we are are delighted to be curating at Pi Artworks in London.

Looking to add to your library on Middle Eastern art? We highly recommend Geometry and Art in the Modern Middle East edited by Roxane Zand.

A long established form of artistic creation, the technique of collage forms the subject of this month's Art Matters feature and for our June Inspiration video, we highlight the work of Yusof Ghani, pioneer of Malaysian abstract art.

Lastly, don't forget to find out what a £2 donation to our production costs is cheaper than this month!

With all best wishes from the JRFA team
