High Pines Bird Walk
Sunday, June 19, 8am

Join Tropical Audubon Society president Joe Barros for an engaging High Pines  Bird Walk.  The free walk is scheduled for approximately 90 minutes, followed by coffee at the historic Doc Thomas House, which serves as TAS headquarters. Explore the near-native hammock that comprises the Steinberg Nature Center campus, and shop the Native Plant Sale featuring bird-friendly specimens!

Learn more about our year-round feathered residents and celebrate Nature & Neighborhood. 

Convene at TAS (5530 Sunset Drive); pedestrian entries via Sunset or 56 AV gates. Limited on-site parking available via 55th AV auto gate.

The 5th annual Dine Out with TAS at  Whisk Gourmet  Summer series launches on the first Tuesday of June! Make a dinner date there  (eat-in or take-out) and, in turn,  Whisk  will feather the proverbial TAS nest with 10 percent of its dinner revenues.

Help TAS steward our  Porter  Russell Pine Rockland, an 8-acre property in South Miami-Dade County, one of the few remaining tracts of globally imperiled Pine Rockland habitat remaining outside of Everglades National Park. 

Please bring sunscreen, your water bottle, and wear closed toed-shoes. We will provide water.

Eco-Restoration Day 
@ TAS's Steinberg Nature Center
Saturday, June 18, 8:30am-noon

Learn about indigenous plants and help us maintain our near-native landscape at the Steinberg Nature Center on the TAS campus. We need you!  Restoration Days are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month. We're flexible -- show up when you can, between 8:30 am and noon -- you will find a host of conservationists, birders, plant lovers and gardeners just like you lending a hand.
