Bring the whole family for this special drive-in movie viewing of the Oscar-nominated 'Encanto,' the story of a Colombian teenage girl who has to face the frustration of being the only member of her family without magical powers.

A family-friendly party in the park celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride, with entertainment including games, crafts, food, and fun!

Skokie Story Stroll: Lockwood Park
Bring the family to various Skokie parks this summer and read the children's stories on display!

Every three weeks, a designated park will feature a children’s book attached to kiosks along the park path. As you stroll along the trail, you will be directed to the next page in the story.

Enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time!

Lockwood Park – "And Tango Makes Three"
In honor of Pride month, the book is based on the true story of two male penguins, Roy and Silo, who created a family together at New York's Central Park Zoo. Winner of the ASPCA Henry Bergh Book Award.

Resident registration on May 15

The Skokie Park District's summer classes and events are now online and with them the district's Summer Program Guide. Registration for residents begins on May 15; non-resident registration begins on May 22.
