A Featured Event of Laguna’s Citywide Juneteenth Jubilee

Trust 1 Band – A Soulful Celebration of Freedom

Thursday, June 19 | 5:30–8:00 PM

Neighborhood Congregational Church (NCC)

Tickets: $35 | Free Parking | Includes Dinner

Join us for a spirited evening of music, reflection, and community as we honor Juneteenth—the day marking the final emancipation of enslaved Americans—with an uplifting celebration of freedom, resilience, and cultural legacy.

Featuring the dynamic Trust 1 Band, a talented group blending gospel, jazz, funk, and R&B, this electrifying performance channels generations of music rooted in faith, endurance, and joy. Their sound is a tribute to the strength of a people who have turned struggle into song and perseverance into praise.

The venue—Neighborhood Congregational Church—is a powerful and intentional choice.

Historically, churches have been at the heart of Juneteenth celebrations and the broader African American freedom movement. From the earliest emancipation picnics to modern-day commemorations, the church has served as a sacred space for gathering, mourning, celebrating, and organizing. By hosting this event at NCC, we honor that enduring tradition and reaffirm the church’s role as a spiritual and cultural sanctuary for justice and healing.

The evening includes a delicious dinner featuring riblets and macaroni & cheese, with a vegan option available. As we share a meal and witness this powerful music, we also gather in fellowship—acknowledging our shared humanity and the ongoing journey toward equity.

At the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center, we believe the arts have the power to awaken empathy, elevate underrepresented voices, and bring communities together. This event is not only a concert—it’s a call to remember, to rejoice, and to rise together.

Come celebrate freedom in one of the most meaningful ways possible—through the unifying power of music, food, and purpose.
