Welcome Back to JA BizTown and JA Finance Park!
This past week, our JA Finance Park and two JA BizTowns welcomed back Broward County 5th and 8th graders to kick off our 2018-2019 year!
From now until May, we will be sharing success stories and testimonials from some of the nearly 50,000 students, 7,000 volunteers and our staff in our Top 5, on social media and on our newly launched website!
Also, we would like to thank all of our JA World storefront sponsors for their support. Without these sponsorships of JA BizTown and JA Finance Park simulated storefronts, these programs would not be possible.
And we've got some new storefronts to welcome this year - the Florida Panthers join us in JA BizTown and a group of businesses from the Marine Industry have joined forces to educate our students about careers available right here in our County! Keep an eye out for news of a ribbon cutting soon!

Since its inception, the group has raised more than $3.75 million for Junior Achievement of South Florida through their signature event, JA World Uncorked and individual donations. In addition, the Circle of Wise Women host social gatherings throughout the year, including Rose Soiree. There are opportunities to volunteer, contribute to the scholarship initiative and network with a great group of "wise women."

Our 2018-2019 JA Fellows Retreat is coming up on October 6, and Junior Achievement of South Florida is seeking local business and community leaders to mentor our budding entrepreneurs.
You can help by coaching teams of high school students, as they conceptualize, captitalize and manage their own small businesses. They will learn real-world skills, including communication, financial management, problem solving, collaboration and time management. As a mentor, you will have an opportunity to share your professional skills, represent your company/industry, influence students to learn about the world of business and connect with other community leaders.
