Bob Birdsong is Dedicated to Sharing His Success Story with Today's Youth

JA Business Hall of Fame Laureate Bob Birdsong has had a successful career so far. A U.S. Navy veteran, Bob first began working at OK Generators in 1990. He later purchased the company in 2004. In addition to his business savvy, Bob has dedicated his time and talents helping numerous nonprofit organizations, including Junior Achievement of South Florida, where he serves on the Board and has been a "Shark" at the JA Fellows Spark Tank Finale.

JA Trained Interns Ready to Work

In a recent op-ed article written by Broward County Commissioner Michael Udine, he discussed the growth in Broward County of start-up businesses and the need to prepare today's youth for these careers.

"We excite these young leaders at an early age at places like JA BizTown and JA Finance Park, where we give them the seeds of business creativity."

JA is one step ahead by finding summer employment/internship opportunities for high school students in our JA Fellows and JA Career Bound programs.
