Learn about WTN

The ITF World Tennis Number provides a global standard for players. It is a 40-1 scale, with 40 being a beginner player and 1 being an elite professional. This scale is for all players, regardless of age, gender, or ability. Players will have a separate ITF World Tennis Numbers for singles and doubles.

WTN is beneficial for player development as well. The statistics track your progress and help improve your game.

Did You Know?

For 12U Green Ball-Ranking Level 7 Tournaments, only players who are 11 years old or players who have graduated from the Playtracker system can apply. Green ball playtracker players cannot play ranking level tournaments, even though it is a green ball event. These are reserved for the player to transition from non-ranking green ball tournament to ranking events. Green ball players can register for Junior Circuit level tournaments only.

FAQ - Can I apply to two tournaments on the same weekend?

Per Friend at Court, a player cannot apply to two tournaments with overlapping dates. If a player withdraws from one tournament to play in another, suspension points may be issued. In addition, you may be charged entry fees if selected into both tournaments and may not be refunded.

Here are the instructions on how to apply for a Level 5, Level 6 or a Level 7 tournament on the same weekend, due to different closing dates:

  1. Submit your application online for a Level 5 tournament by the deadline
  2. Level 5 will close on Thursdays at 6 p.m. - you will know if you were selected into the Level 5 by Friday
  3. If you were selected into the Level 5, great!
  4. If you were NOT selected, you then can register for a Level 6 tournament which closes on Sunday at 6 pm.
  5. You MUST remove your name from the alternate list of the Level 5
  6. You will know on Monday morning if you were selected into the Level 6.
  7. If you are accepted into the Level 6, great! If you weren't, then you can apply to a Level 7 which closes on Monday at 6 p.m.
  8. You must remove your name from the alternate list of the Level 6.

IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE YOUR NAME FROM AN ALTERNATE LIST BEFORE APPLYING FOR ANOTHER TOURNAMENT, SUSPENSION POINTS MAY BE ASSESSED

*You may not be on multiple applicant lists when entries close*
