Good afternoon!

We want to give you an update on buyer information, virtual buyer letter opportunities, and a few reminders of important dates that are coming up.

Buyer information now available
We have updated the  805 Ag Kids Buyer page  on our website with information and FAQs. It includes information regarding the auction, add-ons, processing options, and more. We will continue to update this page as more information becomes available. When writing buyer letters, this is a good place to direct them:  805AgKids.com/Buy

Virtual buyer letter videos
The most important thing kids can do is to continue to write their letters and mail them to potential buyers. In addition to traditional buyer letters, we would like to help get the kids out in front of buyers. Parents can submit a ‘virtual’ buyer letter from their participant in the form of a short video:

  • Submit a short 30-second or less video of the exhibitor introducing themselves and their animal and appealing to buyers for this year’s Junior Livestock Virtual Auction on Saturday, August 15. Important: Only first names may be given in the videos. Example: “Hello, I’m Jane from Fillmore FFA and this is my pig ‘Oink…’”

  • To submit your video, it must be emailed to [email protected] by a parent/guardian. Please acknowledge that you are the parent/guardian submitting the video in the email submission.

  • We will post it on 805 Ag Kids social media and potentially the Fair’s social media.

Please do not include any information in the video that you do not want posted to social media.

Important upcoming dates
Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training must be completed by August 1, with proof emailed to  [email protected]

A link for registration to participate in this year’s Junior Livestock Virtual Auction will be coming at the end of the month. Online registration/entries and video uploads due July 30 - August 6.

Additional information regarding exhibitors and this year’s events can be found  here .

Our efforts
We have been busy spreading the word about this year’s Junior Livestock Virtual Auction!
  • VC Reporter – Be sure to check out the article on VCReporter.com about this year’s Junior Livestock Virtual Auction.
  • Cumulus Cares – Starting this weekend, the Cumulus Cares radio show will be airing a special feature on the virtual auction as well. We’ll be appealing for donations from the public which will go directly to the kids.
  • Radio/TV – Our radio ads and TV commercials continue to air, thanks to our incredible media sponsors.
  • Outreach – We have also been in touch with past buyers and donors, asking for their help in supporting our local ag kids.

Thank you for your continued support! Please be sure to pass this information along to your clubs and anyone who might not have received it.

Sincerely,

Scott –  [email protected]
Megan –  [email protected]
