CELEBRATE POLLINATOR WEEK WITH US JUNE 19-25

It is a time to raise awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them. The great thing about Pollinator Week is that you can celebrate and get involved any way you like!

Ways to Participate

  • Watch for pollinators. Get connected with nature. Take a walk, experience the landscape and look for pollinators’ midday in sunny, planted areas.
  • Plant for pollinators. Create pollinator-friendly habitat with native flowering plants that supply pollinators with nectar, pollen, and living quarters.
  • Design your garden so that there is a continuous succession of plants flowering from spring through fall.
  • Install 'houses' for bats and native bees.

Create Privacy Screens with Plants

COne of the questions we get most often is which plants we recommend for privacy screens, so we created a video video series to discuss some of our favorite options

Whether you are looking to create solitude around a pool area, block out an eyesore, or just avoid a nosy neighbor, we are certain to have recommendations that will work for your space!

Mother Nature's Paintbrushes Kids Craft

from Mas & Pas Parenting Network
It simply makes sense that Mother Nature would use beautiful flowers and foliage as her paint brushes. Now you can use them too with your little ones! This hands-on (and a wee bit messy) craft not only gives kids a creative outlet, but is also a great way to introduce new plants and flowers to their vocabulary in a fun way!
