***** 1st Discounted Option -- Full Convention

Preservation:  Windjammers Unlimited is an organization committed to the preservation of circus music. Our organization is having our 53rd Annual Summer Meet in Gainesville, GA, July 15 – 20, 2025. We have daily playing sessions where we rehearse traditional circus music. During the week the group will perform several concerts in the Gainesville area.

As a way to recruit new members to experience this "Golden Era of Circus Music" we are discounting convention fees by 50% for local musicians in the Gainesville and surrounding metro areas who are interested in joining us for the meet. This includes one-year membership ($50.00 value) for Windjammers Unlimited for $25 and half-price registration (normally $120 but reduced 50% to $ 60) for the Summer Convention.

I welcome you to call me at 678-316-1508 so that I can answer your questions about Windjammers. I am a retired band director and have been a member of Windjammers since the early 2000’s (clarinet). I really enjoy playing with the group and networking with the rest of the members.

Educate:  There will be an educational outreach seminar on Saturday, July 19 from 9am-12noon. These Saturday-morning-only participants do not need to join Windjammers to participate in this seminar. We plan to tell a little history and play some music.

Students, teachers, community band members are all invited to attend this session. They can sit in the audience and listen - OR - they can join us to play the music! We will make sure to have sheet music for those who want to play.

What happens at Windjammers Conventions?

LOTS! Lots of Notes and Lots of Fun!

You'll enjoy playing over 60 historic circus music selections during the convention. We run through each piece once at tempo, maybe woodshed a couple of measures, then it's professionally recorded and becomes musical history of the circus.

You'll meet musicians from around the country who love to perform this fast-paced music!

You'll learn the history of each piece from the six conductors at the Summer Meet. PDFs of each piece will be emailed to you ahead of time.

A special Educational Outreach Session is planned for Saturday morning for Band Directors, Students and Local Community Band Members.

Saturday evening is our FREE big performance for the community at Smithgall Arts Pavilion -- with lots of circus-themed acts! Fun for the whole family!

And even with this busy musical schedule, there's also free time to network with your new circus band friends at the convention!
