Project to create nearly 600 jobs in Cabarrus County with average wage of $70,000
State and local officials gathered via livestream this morning to announce plans by Eli Lilly and Company to invest $1 billion in a manufacturing campus at The Grounds at Concord, site of the former Philip Morris plant.
Lilly's facility will produce injectable products and devices within the five-building campus that includes the manufacturing facility along with spaces for logistics and packaging, a quality control lab and central utilities plant.
