United Way of Westchester and Putnam is hosting its 2024 Nonprofit Leadership Summit in a hybrid capacity on Tuesday, April 9. The event is accepting breakout room proposals through Friday, January 12, 2024.

Now in its 22nd year, the Nonprofit Leadership Summit builds professional excellence in purpose-driven organizations. As United Way of Westchester and Putnam’s core capacity-building program, the Summit is an opportunity for nonprofits of all sizes to provide professional development to their staff and essential volunteers.

One of this year’s keynote speakers is Dr. Lynn Perry Wooten (pictured above). Dr. Wooten is the president of Simmons College and coauthor of the book “The Prepared Leader: Emerge from Any Crisis More Resilient Than Before with Dr. Erika H. James. She is also the author or co-author of "Arrive and Thrive: 7 Impactful Practices for Women Navigating Leadership," "Positive Organizing in a Global Society: Understanding and Engaging Differences for Capacity Building and Inclusion" and "Leading Under Pressure: From Surviving to Thriving Before, During, and After a Crisis."

In addition to the keynote speakers, the event will feature breakout sessions and a vendor expo. Sponsorship opportunities and vendor tables are available.

The in-person event for the 2024 Summit will be at The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, 735 Anderson Hill Rd, Purchase, NY, 10577, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Virtual participants will be able to livestream the sessions, which will also be available on-demand after the completion of the Summit.
