Next Thursday | Get On The Bus
MSM’s 50th Anniversary will be recognized by legislators at the Georgia State Capitol on Thursday, February 6, beginning at 10 a.m. We ask all guests to arrive at the Capitol at 9 a.m. to ensure ample time to get through security. Due to limited parking at the Capitol, MSM is providing courtesy roundtrip bus transportation for students, faculty and staff. There are currently 30 available seats on the bus, and they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. RSVP for bus ride

National Blood Donor Month
Did you know that every two seconds in America, someone urgently needs blood? This need extends beyond unexpected emergencies like car crashes, encompassing a wide range of medical treatments. Only three percent of eligible Americans currently donate blood, despite 65 percent of the population being eligible to do so.

Cervical Health Cancer Awareness Month
Each year in the U.S. nearly 14,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and over 4,300 die as a result. The disease takes an even greater toll globally as most cervical cancers occur in low-income countries. In both the U.S. and abroad, cervical cancer is most often found in women living in poverty and who lack access to health care.

Glaucoma Awareness Month
Glaucoma is a leading cause of vision loss and blindness in the United States. But as many as half of people with glaucoma don’t know they have it. Glaucoma has no early symptoms. There is no cure, but starting treatment as early as possible can help stop vision loss. Anyone can get glaucoma, but some people are at higher risk.

Clinical Trial Diversity Scorecard (CTDS) Training
In collaboration with the Carer Group, the Morehouse School of Medicine Center of Excellence for the Validation of Digital Health Technologies & Clinical Algorithms invites students and residents to apply for the Clinical Trial Diversity Scorecard (CTDS) Training. This training is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to create high-quality, accurate CTDSs independently. Training includes online training sessions, mentorship, hands-on applications, and scorecard creation. For inquiries, please contact: datascience@msm.edu.
