Listening and Spoken Language Strategies: Thinking Outside the [Theme] Box


Please join RMTC-DHH, the University of Central Florida (UCF) Listening Center, and the University of Miami Debbie School for this day-and-a-half collaborative training. The program will include hands-on activities designed to provide participants with tools and resources that can be implemented in their instructional practice the following workday.

This is a face-to-face event hosted by Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Lawton Chiles Middle School 8190 NW 197th St, Hialeah, FL 33015


Optional Debbie School Tour

An optional tour of the Debbie School is available for participants prior to the start of the training sessions.

Schedule

  • February 26, 2026: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. EST
  • February 27, 2026: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. EST


It is suggested that a team consisting of a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TODHH) and a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working with students who are DHH attend together to maximize the collaborative benefits of the training.


ASHA CEUs are available upon request.
