To Every Friend, Family Member, Co-Worker, Customer, Vendor, or Acquaintance I Have Ever Known
Happy Holidays!

We took a break yesterday from our 12-day holiday e-mail series, as it was the "7th Day for Resting".

Now we have the 8th line of our "Just One More" version of the Christmas song 12 Days of Christmas , being revealed from December 20-31:

On the eighth day of Christmas,
the Good Lord gave to JOMM:

Eight(y) Workers Working

It takes a lot of effort by all kinds of people to pick up, load, unload, sort, store, prepare, organize, and fulfill the food "orders" which are picked up by our non-profit partners. When visitors see our operation for the first time, they ask, " how on earth do you stay on top of all this? "

That's when Chris Capper says, "you've got to have FAT - faith and trust"!
Volunteer "team" from a local church, group, or business.
Today is a perfect example of our need for volunteers, as JOMM is taking its year-end inventory. All of the food we handle is weighed in and out, and there is an audit on an annual basis to provide accuracy and accountability to our donors. Thankfully, we have 6 volunteers coming to help with this effort today.

Everything Gets Done by Staff and Volunteers

Even with a dedicated paid staff of 3-6 people, we have relied on the goodness of hundreds volunteers for driving, sorting, meal preparation, and office help. One of our top priorities for 2020 is to continue to organize and thank the many volunteers who are our lifeblood. For those who have served: thank you!

Below is a chart describing our needs, if you feel led to get involved, please visit www.jomministry.org or send an e-mail to office@jomministry.org .

An Opportunity to Serve God and Help Good People

As a faith-based ministry, our very existence is inspired by Jesus, whose life is an example of caring for the poor, needy, and forgotten. It feels great to shine the bright light of God's love into dark places, and see the warmth of kindness changing lives and attitudes.

Thanks again to our past, present, and future staff and volunteers!

Please Consider a Financial Donation by Year-End

We have a few days left before the "Plunge for Hunger" where a number of us are going into Lake Michigan at Bradford Beach on January 1. If you are led to give, we appreciate it!
Best wishes,
