Hello!
The week before last, "Just Chill" was a big hit. So this week, still keeping it simple, we have "Just Pray". It brings to mind the idiom, "on a wing and a prayer", the idea that we sometimes must do things even though we think we lack the means. In such times, a quick prayer is all it takes, and it's sometimes all that you can do.
For my meditation friends, a gentle reminder that prayer is a dialogue, reaching outward for Divine help, rather than searching inward for Divine enlightenment. A fine point, yes. Both are vital supports to life, as you know.
Why, then, when it is so simple and potentially miraculous, is it so easy to forget to just pray?
This week's image is from the Joshua Tree National Park near Twentynine Palms, CA. In many traditions, the Joshua Tree is revered as a spiritual symbol of strength and resilience, because it thrives in the extreme desert environment. Here, conditions are life-threatening for most flora and fauna. Yet, The Joshua Tree is a succulent plant that can become huge over many centuries. A member of the yucca family, its outstretched branches are like many arms lifted prayerfully to the heavens.
May this Message bring you renewal, strength, clarity, and HOPE
(How-to Overcome Practically Everything).
Blessings to you and the ones you love,
Emmie
