Dear Members,

Due to overwhelming demand from our Members and community (thank you!), UNCSA has opened up a second opportunity to see the recently formed Reynolda Quartet, an ensemble of renowned faculty artists in the UNCSA School of Music.

This encore performance will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the auditorium at Reynolda. Seats are limited so I encourage you to take advantage of this early access. The link to purchase tickets from UNCSA is below.
Have a great weekend,

About the Reynolda Quartet

Led by internationally-renowned violinist and music educator Ida Bieler, the Reynolda Quartet includes violist Ulrich Eichenauer, violinist Janet Orenstein, and cellist Brooks Whitehouse. Bieler is a seasoned veteran of the celebrated Melos and Heine Quartets, with recordings for EMI Classics, Harmonia Mundi and Deutsche Grammophon. Eichenauer performed throughout the United States and Europe as a member of the award-winning Mendelssohn String Quartet. Orenstein and Whitehouse have toured the world from Turkey to Australia as founding members of the Guild Trio.

The quartet’s February concert will include Janacek’s evocative Quartet no. 2 “Intimate Letters,” Brahms’ soulful Quartet in A Minor Op. 51, and the world premiere of UNCSA faculty artist Lawrence Dillon’s Last Spring

Following this performance, the quartet has planned concerts at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Spring Chamber Music Festival in Düsseldorf, Germany, and Palazzo Ricci, European Academy for Music and Performing Arts in Montepulciano, Italy.
