We wanted to send out an email to let you know the team at JOY is thinking about you! You all have become more than clients to us and we really miss being away from the salon and our daily chats with you. We hope you all are keeping safe and healthy during this challenging time for humanity.
We are getting some requests to custom mix client formulas and leave it with clients to apply at home.
Here’s the issue(s) with this.
1. Hair colour is a chemical mixture that, once mixed, has a shelf life of a short lived time. If you do not apply it immediately after mixing, The colour result will be uneven.
2. Because hair colour is a chemical mixture, If incorrectly applied, it can cause a colour correction nightmare, more importantly, could cause undue damage to not only your hair, but your skin and scalp if not careful to observe correct processing times and correct application.
3. As consummate professionals, we feel this practice would compromise our professionalism that we take great pride in.
4. MOST IMPORTANT- 🚨SOCIAL DISTANCING 🚨. We ALL need to do our part and practice social distancing right now to flatten the curve. Delivering colour means we would not be staying home like we have been ased to do!
I know this a stressful and anxious time we ALL find ourselves in, but your roots can wait. We care very deeply about our guests/clients health and well being, as we are sure all our professional friends out there do, so sit tight friends. Soon we hope to greet you at the salon to provide you with the best in service. In the meantime, please DO NOT cut your own bangs or buy box dye from a drugstore!
The current prediction is that we will be able to reopen for May. We will let you all know as soon as we open the online booking system back up for appointments!
