Per the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) ALL Realtor® and Appraiser members are on the same 3-year cycle for Code of Ethics.

As of January 2025, there is an additional NEW requirement for Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training.

Both the Ethics and the NEW Fair Housing requirements are on the SAME 3-year cycle: January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027.

Realtors® and Appraisers must take at least 2 hours of Fair Housing instruction. More information is below.

The existing Ethics requirement and the new Fair Housing requirement are BOTH separate from any Broker or Appraiser license cycle with the Colorado Real Estate Commission. They are both requirements of NAR.

Providing equal professional services is an essential part of our commitment to a higher ethical standard. This is a commitment of all Realtors®, NAR and VBR.

NAR Fair Housing Course Options

Fairhaven is a free option with NAR - but no CE credits for Colorado. It will launch January 14, 2025. Good choice for Appraisers or Brokers who don't need extra credits.

At this time, C2EX does not offer CE in Colorado, BUT earning the C2EX endorsement will satisfy BOTH Code of Ethics and Fair Housing Training requirements for the cycle.

The Vail Board of REALTORS® will schedule courses in 2025 and beyond to help our members meet the new requirement.

We will notify you of any qualifying classes at the VBR. There will be at least four (4) qualifying classes per year at the VBR. These will include the Bias Override and At Home With Diversity mentioned above, along with other approved courses.
